Hi there! My name is Janice (on the right!). I’m a creative, idea-crazy development and communications specialist with 17+ years of  writing, editing, design, and digital media experience.

Overly ambitious from birth, I dove into the communications field 17 years ago, after being inspired by the movie “13-Going-On-30," and I’ve been consistently producing content and driving myself insane ever since :)

From managing writers, styling websites, and designing pages as an editor for my high school and college newspapers; to volunteering my writing, multimedia, and fundraising talents to various non-profits; all the way to becoming Web Content Producer for CBS Radio Sacramento; I have been consistently developing in the communications and nonprofit world for over a decade.

The efforts I have contributed to the nonprofit and media world thus far include everything from fundraising to graphic design, with a great deal of experience in lifestyle writing; copy writing; editing; layout & design (news pages, newsletters, brochures, e-blasts, appeal mail, event programs; event planning; video production; photography; graphic design; web management; web styling; social media management; web analytics, and more.

My greatest accomplishments yet include two years as Development Director for Centro Latino Americano, a nonprofit that serves Latinx and immigrant families in Lane County; four years as a Development & Communications Coordinator for ShelterCare (2017-present), which is a nonprofit organization that connect homeless individuals to housing; two years as Web Content Producer for CBS Radio (2014-2017); and three fantastic years as Arts & Culture Editor for The State Hornet newspaper (2011-2014). Together, these positions have given me a mountain of experience in writing, editing, multimedia production, fundraising, grant writing, event planning, and staff management...all under skin-tight deadlines.

I am an ambitious, independent young woman with a passion for creating and helping others, and I aim to work for an organization that does the same.
